A Florida native, Kathy Lee completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, and attained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida in 1998. During her graduate program, Kathy Lee worked in the counseling center on campus at UCF. In addition, she worked at the Central Florida Reception Center counseling sexual offenders and other inmates on a variety of issues. Kathy Lee has been employed as an adjunct Psychology Instructor at the University of Central Florida teaching courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Women of Psychology, and The Psychological Aspect of Drugs and Alcohol.
Currently she is providing therapy to children and adults. She incorporates play therapy as a form of treatment for younger children, as well as other psychoeducational activities. She enjoys assisting children who deal with a variety of challenges, such as attention deficits, behavioral problems, depression, anxiety, and peer related issues. She also enjoys working with individuals who are struggling with a variety of life challenges, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, and grief. She is well versed in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, reality-based, mindfulness, and solution focused, as well as other types of therapy.
